INSTALLATION OF THE SIREN
INSERT OR REPLACE THE BATTERY
It is advisable to install the siren vertically on an even surface. The device is mounted by 4 screws (fig. 1).
Suitable screws and dowels are included in the packaging of the product. We suggest to register the siren
at the QIVICON Home Base and to run a functional test before fixed mounting.
In the original packaging the 4 alkaline batteries (type D) are not inserted into the device yet. To insert or to
replace the batteries open the case by losing the screw on the bottom of the device, open the battery
compartment by opening the 4 small screws (fig. 1) and then insert the batteries with the correct polarity
(fig. 2). After replacement of the batteries, it is not necessary to register the remote control again.
SET-UP AND OPERATION
This step requires that you have a QIVICON Home Base equipped with a QIVICON ZigBee radio dongle.
1.
Ensure the batteries have been inserted correctly as described in the previous paragraph.
2.
Follow the indications for the addition of new devices of the installation wizard, which can be found in
the app or in the web interface of your QIVICON system. For further information on the registration
process, please consult http://support.bitronhome.eu.
If you wish to associate the siren to a different home base, it is sufficient to repeat the procedure of your
system for the addition of new devices. Once successfully concluded the installation process, the sensor
will not communicate with the system, to which it has been previously registered, anymore.
A sabotage alarm will start when you open the siren case while the device is connected to the QIVICON
system. In order to avoid this alarm to be triggered, either do not connect the plug which is connecting the
case opening sensor to the main board at time of installation, or delete the siren from your QIVICON
system before opening the case.
