tablet and smartphone let you manage all connected devise, at any time and from anywhere.
MOUNTING
Do mount the smoke detector on ceilings only. The minimum distance to walls is 60 cm. In stairwells and
nested rooms mount the smoke detector always at the highest position as smoke moves upwards. To
install the smoke detector mount the mounting bracket first, then fix the smoke detector by turning it on the
bracket until it is fully stable (
Fig. 4
).
To insert or replace the batteries (3*AA) proceed as shown in figures 1 and 2, please ensure polarity is
correct. We suggest to use high quality long-life alkaline batteries.
SET-UP
In order to set-up this device you need to have a QIVICON home base which is equipped with a QIVICON
ZigBee® radio stick. The home based needs to be set up and you need a valid user account. For further
information, please refer to http://www.qivicon.de/support.

Insert the batteries following the instructions in the previous section.

(www.qivicon.de/login). Go to

. Then choose your device (

Follow the connection wizard’s instructions.
In order to associate the device to a different home base repeat steps 2 and 3.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
If the smoke concentration exceeds the threshold for 10 seconds, the siren will activate and the LED start
blinking fast. The alarm signal will switch off, if smoke concentration will be below the threshold for 10
seconds. To mute the alarm press the function key (
Fig.3
). Shall the smoke concentration still exceed the
threshold after 10 minutes, the acoustic alarm will start again.
In case the LED lights up once every 30 seconds, the batteries are weak and shall be replaced.
In case of false alarms, e.g. in a dusty environment, a recalibration of the smoke detector may be useful.
To start recalibration keep the function key (
Fig. 3
) pressed for 20 seconds. At the start of the process you
will hear 3 acoustic signals. The LED will keep blinking each second until the successful recalibration will
be confirmed by 5 acoustic signals.
In case the smoke chamber is dirty you may clean it carefully using a hover.
