PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The 1033/146A detector is a triple-technology device designed and built for the

protection of outdoor environments where installation is required at a height of

between 2.10 m and 2.30 m.

It consists of two PASSIVE PYROELECTRIC SENSORS, with Fresnell lenses,

and a 10.525 GHz MICROWAVE.

The detector has a range of between 3m and 10m.

MAIN FEATURES:

•  high detection efficiency and stability, with dynamic temperature compen

-

sation to prevent false alarms;

•   an ACTIVE  LED  antimasking  system  for  detector  protection  with  a  filter

possibility through a MW proximity alert system (settable via DIP);

•

 high immunity to the presence of animals, guaranteed by an algorithm ca-

librated to not detect animals below average size.

WARNINGS

The following aspects should be considered before installing the 1033/146A

detector:

•

the detector must be adjusted so as to prevent its coverage crossing the

path of moving objects;

•  the ground in the covered area must not have significant slopes (see the

paragraph on ADJUSTMENT TO THE SLOPE OF THE GROUND);

•  the support on which the detector is mounted must be firm, free from vibra

-

tions and with no unusual protrusions/recesses;

•

the detector must be positioned so that it is not exposed to direct sunlight;

•  the detector’s coverage area should not include large reflective surfaces,

such as sheet metal;

•  take care not to obscure the detector’s field of vision with objects, even

partially;

It should be noted that the best detection condition is when the detection

lobes intersect the potential intruder’s transit path by 45°.

INSTALLATION HEIGHT

The recommended installation height of the 1033/146A detector is between

2.10m and 2.30m from the ground. The measurement must be taken from the

centre of the lens.

FIXING THE DETECTOR

Mount the wall fixing bracket (

FIG.4A

) with appropriate screws and plugs for

the type of wall; two holes must be drilled aligning with the “Fixing bracket ho-

les” shown in

FIG.4A

. Fit the O-RINGS (

FIG.4A

) around the cylindrical turrets

on the wall fixing bracket, in order to prevent infiltration of water through the

turret holes. After passing the cable through the sealed cable gland (

Fig.4B

on the base, fit the base of the detector to the fixing bracket, aligning the fixing

turrets on the bracket with the cylindrical holes on the base. Secure the base

to the bracket with the 4 bracket fixing screws, inserting them from inside the

base.

To complete the installation, after making the connections, slide the detec-

tor towards the upper closing screw and apply slight pressure at the bottom

(

FIG.7

). Tighten the upper and lower screws to enable complete closure of the

detector.

CONNECTIONS

Wire the system cable to the terminal on the interface board, according to

the indications given in

FIG.8

. Make the electrical connections as indicated in

FIG.8

. Make the electrical connections as indicated in

FIG.8

.

The end-of-line resistors can be selected for double or triple balance via the 2

jumpers ALL EOL 1-4 and TAMP EOL 1-4 and jumper M (

FIG.9

). The resistors

are connected as in the diagram in

FIG.9A

. The line from the central unit is

connected with one pole to the <L-> terminal and the other to the <L+ ALL> or

the <L+ MASK> terminal. With jumper M closed and <L+ MASK> connected,

the Mask contact is in series with the Alarm contact. In this condition, a resi-

stor of the value required by the control unit (R3B) can be applied to the MASK

terminal to obtain triple balance. If no resistor is selected and Jumper M is

open, the contacts are all independent.

Once the necessary adjustments have been made, close the detector by ti-

ghtening the 2 provided screws (one in the upper part just below the rain

cover, and one in the lower part near the sensor closing profile).

INITIAL POWER-UP

When the power is switched on, the sensor starts the initialization phase, du-

ring which the 3 LEDs blink alternately. After this phase (which lasts about 60

seconds), the sensor goes into Walk Test mode for 20 minutes.
