It is recommended that the batteries are installed when operating with the power
supply. This means that the device will continue to work continuously e.g. during a
power outage. The batteries will only be used when operating without a power supply
feed.
Depending on the number of alarms triggered and on the respective alarm duration,
the capacity of the batteries extends for several months.
