I. CONVERTING TO A SEAT
1. Check and confirm that the Karabiner straps are in
their retracted storage position, clipped to the front
leg cross rail, and that the foot pedal is depressed and
locked down. This is important to remove any
possible tripping hazard to other passengers and to
keep the webbing clean and tidy.
2. Push in the ends of the telescopic stand off bar. Stand
in front of EasiSit, hold the sides of the seat cushion
and push it down to allow the frame to ‘hinge’ down
to its horizontal position.
3. Fit Tongue A into stalk B and tongue A1 into stalk B1,
ready to be used as a standard seating passenger
seatbelt.
J. EQUIPMENT STORAGE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Regularly inspect EasiSit
for damage, wear or malfunction. If any problems are identified
replace them immediately.
2. All webbing and components can be cleaned as necessary, but care should be taken to
prevent contamination of the webbing with polish, oils and chemicals particularly acid,
alkalis and fuels.
3. To clean the straps use warm soapy water and a clean soft cloth. Rinse with clear water,
and allow to air dry. To disinfect use a mild spray disinfectant and do not use products
containing bleach.
Important: when cleaning or disinfecting do not immerse or flood
buckles or karabiners in the disinfectant or water.
4. If the vehicle is involved in an accident when any restraints are deployed and from which
the vehicle must be towed, remove them from service and replace. If in doubt please
contact Unwin Safety Systems.
