THE IDEAL LOCATION
1. Maintain an adequate safety dis-
tance (at least 1 meter) to other
objects, such as furniture, cur-
tains, etc.
2. Only place the appliance in opera-
tion in a vertical position.
3. Ensure that air can flow in and
out unhindered - do not, under
any circumstances, cover the air
inlets of the appliance.
4. Only place the appliance on a
solid and level substrate. Do not
place the appliance on soft sur-
faces (sofa, bed) because the
appliance can tip over.
5. In addition, ensure that the appli-
ance is not set up on deep-pile
carpets or in dusty environments.
6. For safety reasons, the appliance
must not be used in the vicinity
of sinks, bathtubs, or water con-
nections.
7. Never place the appliance directly
under an electrical outlet, and
ensure that the power socket used
is easily accessible at all times.
8. Check whether the power cord is
routed in such a manner that no
one can stumble over it.
9. The power cord should not touch
any housing parts, this could
cause the cable to melt.
Be aware that the appliance
can become very hot - fire ha-
zard! Particularly ensure that
children are kept away from
the appliance.
BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE THE FIRST TIME
1. Remove all packaging materials
and any transport safeguards.
2. Check whether all listed accessory
parts are present and intact.
3. Comply with all instructions that
are specified in the chapter, “The
ideal location”, and find a suita-
ble location.
4. When you use the appliance for
the first time, or if it has not been
operated for an extended period
of time, a slight odour can occur.
PREPARING THE APPLIANCE FOR OPERATION
1. Ensure that you have selected a
safe location.
2. Comply with all safety instructions
and safety regulations.
3. Plug the mains plug of the
appliance into an electrical outlet
(220–240 V ~ 50 Hz)
4. Select the desired temperature
level on the rotary regulator.

more
heat
(1,200 watt)
