12. Caution: Do not remove the cup during the brewing cycle.
13. When the brewing cycle ends, the indicator lamp goes out and you can
remove the cup.
If you want to brew another cup of coffee, execute steps 1 to 9.
Now however, press the reset button on the rear of the appliance.
The indicator
lamp lights up again and the brewing cycle starts.
14. To switch off, place the On/Off switch in the O position, the red indicator
lamp will go out.
15. One minute after the end of the brewing cycle the appliance switches off
automatically, if it has not been previously switched off via the On/Off
switch.
16. Note: Screw the cup lid onto the filled cup and keep the drinking opening of
the cup closed, so that your coffee stays hot longer. Caution: The cup how-
ever is not drip-proof or leak-proof. To avoid burn injuries on the hot cup, flip
out the carrying handle on the cup lid to move cup.
Caution: The appliance is very hot during and after operation! When you
take the cup out of the appliance, hot steam can escape. Never open the lid
of the appliance during the brewing cycle – danger of injury!
CLEANING AND CARE
Allow the appliance to cool before cleaning it.
Before cleaning, always turn off the appliance and unplug it from
the electrical outlet.
1. Do not immerse the appliance in water or another liquids.
2. Open the lid and take out the permanent filter with the coffee grounds.
Empty the permanent filter.
3. All removable parts can be cleaned in warm water with a mild washing-up
liquid. These parts are not dishwasher-safe!
4. Wipe off the appliance housing with a soft, damp cloth and dry it thoroughly.
5. Do not use any aggressive or scouring cleaning agents.
6. Select a dry, dust-free location for storage. Tip: Keep the appliance packag-
ing and store the appliance in this box if the appliance will not be used for
a longer period of time.
1. Descale your coffee maker on a regular basis, depending on the frequency
of use and local hardness of the water, to extend the service life of the
appliance and to keep power consumption to a minimum. To do this use a
commercially available descaling product. Please comply with the manufac-
turer‘s instructions! If necessary repeat the descaling procedure.
