USE
HOW TO FILL WITH WATER
Make sure that the appliance is
disconnected from the mains.
Raise the cap valve (V) in order
to let out any remaining steam
and unscrew the cap in an
anticlockwise direction.
Only use water, maximum 1,5
litres.
GENERATOR START-UP
Insert the plug into the mains socket.
Press the steam button and turn the l
iron-heating switch on.
Wait several minutes until the
signal light turns off: at this point,
steam is available for pressing.
NB: during use the warning light
will switch on and off several times;
this light can be ignored while the
appliance is in use.
STEAM IRONING
Steam ironing is possible when the
fabric knob is facing the
Wool Cotton, Linen
position.
Adjust the fabric knob to the fabric
position required.
Silk, Nylon Wool
Cotton, Linen
The iron on warning light shows that
the appliance is warming up.
Wait for the iron warning light
and the steam warning light on
the generator to switch off before
starting to iron.
Press the button to get steam.
By pushing the small button forward
(steady steam), you can iron with a
continuous flow of steam. Each time
the appliance is used, a few drops
of water may come out when the
steambutton is pressed. This is quite
normal and is due to the condensate
which forms inside the cold tube. The
same may happen when the iron has
not been used for some time.
Press the button to give steam.
The steam can be used to remove
shiny patches and to freshen
clothing, wool fabrics, curtains etc.
You can adjust the flow of steam by
turning the steam knob (optional).
DRY IRONING
The iron may also be used in the
traditional way, without steam.
The iron heats up independently from
the generator.
Turn on the “iron start-up” switch.
CABLE ANTENNA
Insert the antenna into the special
hole on the main part of the tank and
hook on ring S which is attached to
the cable; in this way ironing is much
easier with the cable hooked up out
of the way.
HOW TO SWITCH OFF
The appliance can be switched off
immediately after you have finished
ironing.
Do not move or put away the
appliance while it is still hot.
Do not empty the generator but
leave a little water inside: when the
appliance is used the next time,
do not fill it. Use it until the special
warning light indicates that there is
no water.
Empty the generator only if the
iron will remain unused for a long
period, or if it has to be transported
elsewhere or sent to a service
centre. According to the amount
of use and to the level of hardness
in the water, a certain amount
of deposit will form inside the
generator.
