BATTERY POWER
Insert 6 x “C” size batteries into the battery compartment. Be sure that the batteries are inserted
AUX IN
Listen to external audio device by connecting it to the appliance through the 3.5mm AUX IN jack.
1. Set FUNCTION switch to TAPE.
2. Use one male to male stereo cable to connect phone jack of any external audio device to AUX IN
jack of the appliance.
3. Press PLAY key of cassette.
4. Start playback on the external audio device. Adjust the volume on the external device (Do not set
the volume too high to avoid distortion). You may also adjust the volume on the appliance.
5. To control playback function, use the controls on the external audio device.
6. Press STOP key of cassette on the appliance while you stop listening to the external audio device
through AUX IN.

Notes:
- Use batteries of the same type. Never use different types of batteries together.
- To use the appliance with batteries, disconnect the AC power cord from it.

AC POWER
You can power your portable system by plugging the detachable AC power cord into the AC inlet at
the back of the unit and into a wall AC power outlet. Check that the rated voltage of your appliance
matches your local voltage. Make sure that the AC power cord is fully inserted into the appliance.
