Cleaning Faceplates

The equipment must be cleaned only with a soft cloth and neutral soap product. Do
not use solvents.

Handling the Memory Cards

The SSFDC memory cards used in some of the UniOP operator panels need to be
handled with care when replaced in the memory slot of the panel.

Figure 52 – SSFDC memory card

Before inserting the memory card in its slot in the panel, the contact area must be
verified to be clean. Any track of contaminants such as oil or any greasy substances
should be carefully removed.

Contamination on the golden contacts of the memory card, at the moment the media
is inserted in the slot, may generate an insulating layer that may result in electrical
contact problems with the sliding elements of the socket.

Corrosive / active chemicals may permanently damage the memory card golden
surface. Any contact with such substances must be carefully avoided.

To ensure the proper operation of the memory media the contact surface of the
SSFDC card should be cleaned with a soft, clean tissue.

Note: The use of any synthetic cloth could permanently damage the memory
card due to electrostatic discharge.

Direct contact with the human body (fingers) with the contact area should be
carefully avoided.
