INSTALLATION, MAINTENANCE AND MODE OF USE FOR ACID LEAD BATTERIES (revised 04.2016)
1.
Always install the batteries in well-ventilated environments.
2.
Install the batteries in environments with adequate temperature according to the batteries features
(see the battery technical file)
WARNING: temperature below 25°C make the capacity (autonomy) diminish, while temperatures
above 25/30°C make the battery life diminish, consequently compromising the warranty.
3.
Connect in series only batteries of the same model (code), NEVER mixing new batteries with used ones.
PAY ATTENTION NOT TO ACCIDENTALLY CONNECT TWO POLES OF THE SAME BATTERY.
4.
When clamps are used for poles of battery type AP (conic), pay special attention to properly enlarge
the above mentioned clamps before inserting them on the poles. ABSOLUTELY AVOID using a hammer
for their application.
5.
Connect in series batteries using section cables adequate to the charge/dischargecurrent and to the
distance between the battery and the load. Eventually contact U.B.S. UNION BATTERY SERVICE.
6.
In case of connection in series, periodically alternate (once or twice a year, according to use) the
position of all batteries.
7.
For parallel connection contact U.B.S. UNION BATTERY SERVICE.
8.
Carefully tight the poles screws, according to what follows:
- M5 terminal: 5,9/6,1 Nm
- M6 terminal: 11,9/12,1 Nm
- M8 terminal: 22,5/23,2 Nm
- M10 terminal: 24,5/27,0 Nm
Eventual pole overheat due to an un-proper tighten is not cover by warrantee.
9.
IMMEDIATELY recharge after the discharge.
10.
Use battery chergers with adequate charge profile (see the technical files of batteries).
