4 Putting Into Service
You can only put your OpenScape Cordless IP system into operation after the
•
planning,
•
coverage,
•
installation and cabling,
•
installing the communication server and if necessary, the OpenScape
Cordless IP server.
requirements have been fulfilled.
Installation and administration of the OpenScape Cordless IP systems are
described in the OpenScape Cordless Administrator Documentation.
4.1 Preparation
1. DECT handsets are charged.
2. LAN suitability for VoIP services is analyzed (refer to Section 3.3).
3. Administration access is available for the Web-Based Management
application.
4. Information is available on subscribers, stations numbers, names.
5. There is a sufficiently large number of IP addresses available for use for the
DECT IP base stations.
6. The IP address of the communication server, the DHCP server and the DNS
server is determined.
7. The customer data available is backed up.
