Using handset connected to a BSIP2 base
Accepting calls
13.2 Accepting calls
Incoming calls for the connection assigned to your handset are signalled.
Press the Talk key
to accept the call.
Information about the caller
The caller's phone number is displayed, if provided. If the caller's number is saved in the directory, the name is
displayed.
Using a PBX call manager
In case a PBX call manager is used it is possible to define that incoming calls are accepted directly via headset or
handsfree. This has to be configured for the handset via web configurator in the
Call manager
section ( p. 56).
13.2.1 Group pickup
You can also accept incoming calls for the group.
Group pickup must be activated and the call number or SIP URI of the group must be entered. This has to be con-
figured for the handset via web configurator in the
Group pick-up
section ( p. 56).
13.2.2 Accepting/rejecting call waiting
A call waiting tone indicates a call during an external call. The number or the name of the caller is displayed if the
phone number is transferred.
• Reject a call:

• Accept a call:
Accept
. . . speak to the new caller. The previous call is placed on hold.
• End the call, resume the on-hold call:
Press the End call key

13.3 Conversation with three participants
13.3.1 Consultation calls
Make another external call during an external call. The first call is placed on hold.

to enter the number of the second participant . . . the active call is placed on hold and
the second participant is called
If the second participant does not answer:
End
Ending a consultation call

. . . the connection to the first caller is reactivated
or
Press the End call key
. . . a recall to the first participant is initiated
Switch off ringtone:
Silence
. . . the call can be accepted for as long as it is shown on the display
Reject a call:
Press the End call key
