Basic Setup
There are four basic options that you may need to set up:
AutoTalk, CIDCW
(Caller ID on Call
Waiting),
Name Tag
and
Insert 0.
All options are available on the XSA1255 handset. For the
1 the options are available as follows.
CIDCW
option can only be set by using Handset 1. If you try to set by using Handset 2 (1
only), you will not see these options listed on the LCD screen. (On 1, Handset 1 shows
Handset 1
in the display while the phone is charging.)
AutoTalk, Name Tag
and
Insert 0
options can be set by using either Handset 1 or Handset 2
(1 only).
Activating AutoTalk
AutoTalk allows you to answer the phone simply by removing the handset from the cradle.
You do not have to press any keys.
1) When the phone is in standby mode, press and hold the
caller
id/menu
key.
2) Press the
select/remote
key (XSA1255) or the
select/channel
key(1) to toggle and turn
AutoTalk
On
or
Off
.
3) Press the
end
key or return the handset to the cradle to
complete the setting. The handset returns to standby mode.
Activating Caller ID on Call Waiting
Caller ID allows you to see the name and number of the calling party before you answer the phone.
Caller ID on Call Waiting (CIDCW) lets you see the name and number of a call that comes in when you
are on the line.
