Using the Repeater
How it Works
The XDECT R006 repeater works to extend the range of the XDECT
R055 base in just the same way as the repeater/charger unit1 The
only difference is the XDECT R006 repeater and handset-charger
are separate units1 Refer to your XDECT R055 owner's manual page
8 for more information on how repeaters work1
To use the repeater function, you must register the repeater to
an XDECT R055 base1 (Any repeaters that came packaged with
the base are already registered to that base for you1)
An XDECT R055 base can support up to six XDECT R006
repeaters, including any that were supplied with your phone1
Usually, you can't tell when a handset switches between the
base and the repeater in the middle of a call, but sometimes, you
might notice a brief pause in your conversation1
Connect the Repeater
Remove the repeater Plug Cover from the
plug section1
Connect the AC adapter to the repeater's
DC IN 9V
jack and route the cord as
shown1
Place the repeater Plug Cover over the
plug section and slide into place1 Plug the
other end of the adapter into a standard 240V AC power outlet1
