YOUR UM725 VHF MARITIME RADIO
Your UM725 VHF Maritime Radio is designed to provide quick and easy access to critical
functions and cool features. For most operation, the UM725 uses a 3-part operating
structure: Physical Controls, Menus, and Soft Keys.

Physical Controls – Use the radio's buttons and knobs to access and navigate various
menu settings and functions.

Menus – Press the
MENU
button to access and various menu settings and functions.

Soft Keys – Use the dynamic Soft Key and scroll buttons to access features and make
selections based on the current screen.
DISTRESS – Sends out default distress signal.
H/L – change the transmission power from 25W to 1W (If the maximum
output for a channel is 1W only, the output power stays to 1W.)
MENU – Accesses the radio menus.
CH ▲
/
▼ – Cycle up and down through channels, and
can be used to navigate menu options.
VOL – Volume
PUSH/SEL – Turn and press to highlight and select
menu options, and to set Squelch settings.
CLEAR – Returns to the main screen.
16/P – Cycles through call channel, channels 16 and
a priority channel, and back to the starting channel.
POWER – Turns your radio on and off.
Soft Keys – Activates assigned functions based on the screen above.
