Commissioning
In order to meet the most varied requirements, va
-
rious settings must be made before the operation for
the trouble-free operation of the sand blasting cabin.
Proper functioning depends on various factors. On the
one hand, a clean and dry blasting medium and free li
-
nes are an important prerequisite (operating pressure as
in the technical data). On the other hand, it depends on
which workpieces are to be processed with which abra
-
sive, because each workpiece and abrasive has other
properties (hardness, grain size, weight, aggressive
-
ness). The blasting media (e.g., normal, mixed, noble
corundum, crushed slag, glass beads, blasting balls,
etc.) are offered in various grain sizes.
It follows that the sandblast cabin has to be adjusted
individually depending on the type and requirement.
Adjustment of the amount of blast feed
The amount of blasting material feed, consisting of the
negative pressure flowing through the screw [Pos. 38] air
and the blasting agent used, is adjustable on the mete
-
ring valve [Pos. 13].
WARNING!
Danger of life!
There is danger to your life if you do not follow these
rules.
- Never work on the blast cabinet if you are under the
influence of alcohol, drugs or medicines and / or
you are overtired or suffer from concentration-im
-
pairing illnesses..
- The sandblasting cabin may only be operated by
one person. Other persons must keep away from
the work area during operation.
ATTENTION! HEALTH HAZARD
Inhalation of abrasive material and abrasion can
cause lung damage from fumed silica! Possible for
-
mation of a silicosis. Information on this
https//de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silikose
Particularly hazardous is the inhalation of substances
with particle sizes below 5 µm!
Never use abrasives with smaller particle sizes than
0,12 mm and make sure the cab is absolutely tight.
Wear respiratory protection.
Use ear protection!
During operation, a noise level of over 85 dB (A) may
occur. From 85 dB (A), ear protection must be worn!
Use safety goggles!
Use respiratory protection!
Sicherheitsschuhe tragen!
Use protective clothing!
NOTE!
Before using the sand blasting cabin for the first time,
carry out the following points.
- Check all screw connections on the installed sand
-
blast cabinets and tighten them if necessary.
- Check the sand blasting cabin for leaks.
- Check the function of the door monitoring. When
opening the cabin doors during operation, the sand
-
blasting booth switches off automatically.
ATTENTION!
The sandblasting gun must always be directed away
from the operator. Never work with the sandblasting
cabin door open.
ATTENTION!
Never use sand as abrasive.
ATTENTION!
The workpiece must be clean and dry
NOTE!
The distance of the blasting gun to the object plays an
essential role and should not exceed 20 cm.
