Commissioning

8 Commissioning

Step 1:    Select a suitable blasting medium and fill in the 

sandblasting booth until max.  half funnel 
height.

Step 2:    The workpiece must be free of oil, grease and 

moisture. If necessary, clean the workpiece 
before placing it in the blast cabinet.

Step 3:    Set the desired working pressure at the com-

pressed air supply (compressor). Make sure 
that the maximum pressure is not exceeded! 
Adjust according to the sensitivity of the mate-
rial set lower working pressure. 

Step 4:    Connect the sandblast cabin to the com-

pressed air source.   

Step 5:    Place the workpiece to be machined in the 

sandblast booth and switch on the lighting of 
the sandblast cabin.

Step 6:    Use the integrated protective gloves to hold 

the sand blasting gun and the workpiece and 
start sandblasting. Hold the sand blasting gun 
at an angle of 45 ° to 60 ° to the workpiece, 
with the blasting medium being blown away 
from the workpiece against the back wall of 
the sandblasting cabin. Use the lever to dose 
the blasting agent addition

Step 7:    After finishing work, disconnect the tool from 

the compressed air source and remove the 
workpiece.

WARNING!
Danger of life!

There is danger to your life if you do not follow these 
rules.
-  Never work on the blast cabinet if you are under the 

influence of alcohol, drugs or medicines and / or 
you are overtired or suffer from concentration-
impairing illnesses..

-  The sandblasting cabin may only be operated by 

one person. Other persons must keep away from 
the work area during operation.

ATTENTION! HEALTH HAZARD

Inhalation of abrasive material and abrasion can 
cause lung damage from fumed silica! Possible for-

Particularly hazardous is the inhalation of 
substances with particle sizes below 5 

μ

m!

Never use abrasives with smaller particle sizes than 
0,12 mm and make sure the cab is absolutely tight.
Wear respiratory protection.

Use ear protection!

During operation, a noise level of over 85 dB (A) 
may occur. From 85 dB (A), ear protection must be 
worn!

NOTE!

Before using the sand blasting cabin for the first 
time, carry out the following points.
-  Check all screw connections on the installed 

sandblast cabinets and tighten them if necessary.

-  Check the sand blasting cabin for leaks.

ATTENTION!

The sandblasting gun must always be directed away 
from the operator. Never work with the sandblasting 
cabin door open.

ATTENTION!

Never use sand as abrasive.

ATTENTION!

The workpiece must be clean and dry.

NOTE!

The distance of the blasting gun to the object plays an 
essential role and should not exceed 20 cm.
