Before surface mounting, make sure that the color of the 30% circle on the HUMIDITY
INDICATOR is blue (see Figure 5-4). If the color of the 20% circle is pink and the color of
the 30% circle is lavender (see Figure 5-5), you must bake the module until it turns to
blue. The UM981 is rated at MSL level 3. Please refer to the IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033
standards for the package and operation requirements. You may also access to the

The shelf life of the UM981 module packaged in vacuum-sealed aluminum foil antistatic
bags is one year.
