Dual Time Base Function 
 

The dual time base function is similar to window extension but there is a fundamental 
difference. In the extension time base mode you can magnify the waveform 100 times, 
whereas in the dual time base mode you can magnify details of the waveform being 
observed by thousands of times. In effect, the main time base storage depth is increased 
by thousands of times. 
 
Dual time base operation instructions : 
Press the horizontal setup menu then press [F3] to enter the dual time base menu. Press 
[F1] to activate the dual time base function. To open CH1 or CH2 under the dual time 
base mode, select by pressing [F2]. To select M1 or M2 as the activated time base, press 
[F3] (M2 is the delayed scanning time base).
