Disconnect power supply before connecting wiring.
Wiring must comply with local and national codes, ordinances and regulations:
1.
Wire Outdoor Sensor to S1 and S2 terminals on the thermostat. If leadwire provided is not
long enough, you need an extra cable to reach the hole at maximum distance between
the outdoor sensor and the touchscreen thermostat is 65 ft (20m).
a. Color-coded, 18-gauge thermostat wire is recommended. For example, see general
wiring of sensor, Figure 26.
b. Pigtail wiring can be used.

Mount Sensor in its mounting clip.
3.
Plug wiring holes using non-hardening caulk or putty.

e sure wires have a cable separate from the thermostat cable.
• D
o not route temperature sensor wiring with building power wiring, next to control
contractors or near light dimming circuits, electric motors or welding equipment.

void poor wiring connections.
• A
void intermittent or missing building earth ground.
