Telephone "Y" Adapter
UAD·300 Auto Dialer Installation
1.
Find a suitable location for the UAD·300 Auto Dialer
●
You will need a telephone jack within range of the UAD·300
●
You will need a 117 VAC wall outlet within range of the UAD·300
●
The UAD·300 should be centrally located in your home or business (ie the kitchen, or office)

Remove the back battery cover on the UAD·300, Install the rechargeable 9 volt battery (included)
The UAD·300 will dial for 3.5 hours in the event of a power failure.
NOTE: IT TAKES A FULL 36 HOURS TO CHARGE THE
BATTERY.

Choose speaker option, you will notice a small slide switch in the battery compartment.
●
“ON” The built in speaker will be turned on to play your emergency message
●
“OFF” The built In speaker will be turned off

Replace the battery cover on the UAD·300

Choose your mounting option
For table top mounting:
Position the table bracket onto the back of the UAD·300
as shown below, then slowly lift the bracket forward.
For wall mounting:
Using the wall mounting bracket as a template, mark the two holes as locations for the mounting bracket.

Drill two 15/64'" holes at marks

Place the included dowels into the two holes

Use the included screws to mount the bracket.

Hang the UAD·300 on the bracket
NOTE: You may also use the double sided foam tape

Plug the UAD·300 power adapter into the wall outlet, then plug the cord of the adapter into the "DC 12 V" jack.
NOTE: You will hear a beep sound and the green © LED will light, and the yellow LED will flash

Plug the UAD·300 into a phone Jack, using the 6 foot phone cable (included)
NOTE: If you are using a phone jack that already has a phone plugged into it:

Disconnect your existing telephone from the wall jack
●
Plug the "Y' adapter into the telephone jack on the UAD·300 (included)
●
Plug your existing telephone into the "Y" Jack marked "PHONE",
●
Using the 6 foot cable, plug the "Y" adapter jack marked "LINE" into the wall jack,
Congratulations! You have successfully installed the UAD·300.
NOTE: Each transmitter has the battery and sensor pad installed at the factory. Each transmitter is also tested at the
factory so the following instructions are for advanced programming only.

(done at the factory)
With the back still removed, locate the 12 position code switch. These switches allow you to choose which area you wish to monitor,
and which message the UAD-300 Auto-Dialer will play when activated.
NOTE: Switches 1 and 9 are not used, and should be left in the "OFF" position. Switches 2 through 8 are not used, and should
be left in the "ON" position.
Switches 10 -11 -12 will select which message the UAD-300 will play when activated.
