Before installing the SIM-card in the device, it
should be made sure that the SIM-card lock is
disabled, especially if the SIM-card contains a
prepaid subscription.
For more detailed information, see the
manual for your mobile phone.
The device can disable most PIN-codes preset
by service providers, which removes the
need to disable the SIM-card lock in some
situations. If the device cannot disable the
SIM-card lock after starting up, the LED on
the left hand side will remain lit. In this case,
disable the SIM-card lock using a mobile
phone.
In order to install the SIM-card, first open
the SIM-card cover using the Phillips head
screwdriver supplied with the device. Unlock
the SIM-card tray flap by sliding the flap with
your fingernail. The SIM-card tray flap has
illustrations that show if the flap is locked.
Install the SIM-card into its place in the
manner shown in the picture and slide the
flap back carefully into the locked position.
Set the SIM-card cover back into its place,
facing as it is shown in the picture. When the
SIM-card has been inserted, set the support
pad in the SIM-tray detent and close the SIM-
card cover carefully by tightening the screws
evenly. Do not use excessive force when
tightening the screws.
NOTE!
The SIM-card cover is not symmetrical.
After the device has been turned on, if the
red LED will remain lit after 15 seconds for a
period of 30 seconds or indefinitely, verify
the installation of the SIM-card and that the
SIM-card lock is disabled.
