These are installation instructions for the GeckoTek Magnetic Base for
the Ultimaker 2, 2+, Extended and Ultimaker 3. When you are finished,
you will be able to use GeckoTek Build Plates without the need for
clips or tape.
The install was demonstrated on a Z stage that was removed from
the 3D printer. This was done for convenience and to allow for
better pictures and is not necessary or recommended.

Total install time is 5-10 mins.
You will need the following to complete the installation process:

M2x5 screws (included)
•
Thin Phillips screwdriver
•
Pliers or wrench
Step 1 : Remove the stock glass build platform by rotating the
retaining clips out of the way and sliding the glass plate forward.
Step 2 : Loosen the 3 leveling screws that hold the print bed heater on.
Remove the thumb nuts and screws and set them aside for later.
Step 3 : Using a wrench, loosen the screws attaching the power and
thermistor wires to the print bed heater. You should not be able to
separate the print bed heater from the 3D Printer.
