Connection
1.
Connect the 20’ black interconnect cord, which is attached to the push reel, to the
“Camera” connection on the lower faceplate.
2.
Plug one end of the AC cord to the “120 VAC IN” on the lower faceplate, and the other
end to a 120 VAC wall outlet, if you will be using AC power.
3.
Plug one end of the DC cord to the “DC IN” on the lower faceplate, and the other end
to a vehicle cigarette lighter outlet, if you will be using DC power.
Turning Unit On
1.
Press the “ON” position on the power switch.
2.
After 30 seconds the main menu screen appears. It has 5 boxes, which are as
follows:
“View”:
The screen will return to live video from the camera head.
“Record”:
Will start a recording and the screen will go to live video.
“View Record”:
Will show the screen with all the recorded files made on the DVR.
“View Photo”:
Will show the screen with all the photo files made on the DVR.
“Settings”:
Shows a list of system settings for “Display”, “Video”, “Audio”, “Record
Settings”, “Date and Time”, “Language”, “Format”, and “System”.

Press the “View” button to see what the camera is currently viewing.
General Operation
Light Intensity Control
1.
Adjust the light intensity control clockwise for increased light, and
counterclockwise for less light. The proper amount of light is when you can see well,
and the picture doesn’t look too dark or too washed out.
Microphone
1.
The unit has a built-in microphone, with a toggle switch in the recessed panel in the lid,
to turn the microphone “ON” or “OFF.” When the switch is “ON” (out towards you), the
microphone is “ON” and the speakers are “OFF.” When the switch is “OFF” (in towards
the recessed panel wall), the microphone is “OFF” and the speakers are “ON” for
playback.
Data Display Unit (DDU) – If Equipped
1.
See separate “Operation Manual for DDU”.
2.
For help using the DDU, there is a “DDU Quick Help” sticker next to the keyboard.
