Configuration of the MX-100B Matrix
4.2. Configuration of the interface RS232C / RS485
4.3. Configuration of the temporization (programming keys)
If the computer does not have a series port RS422-RS485, then it will be necessary to enclose an external
modulus of conversion, between the series port RS232C of the PC and the MX-100B Matrix.
The following communication type must be chosen by the interface:
- Tx ON - Rx ON
- DCE
The keys located on the front panel of the Matrix permit to configure or test the MX-100B Matrix (8x8 only).
The jumper S16 makes possible to select two temporizations for avoiding the repetition of the key:
- S16 = OFF
350 ms
- S16 = ON
500 ms

Only the Matrix which is at the end
of the line must charge the line
RS485 (S20=0N).
If the computer is connected only to one Matrix
then (S20=0N).
(Permits to insert the charge resistance at the
end of the line).
If the distance between PC computer and matrix is more than 15 meters, it is necessary to use serial port RS422
in order to secure the system.
To choose RS232 or RS422 serial port on the MX-100B matrix refer to chapter 3-3 (configuration thanks to
software SF-101)
