When enabled and the ANT_SHORT_N pin is pulled low a short circuit is signalled (otherwise the pin
is pulled up):-

3.7.3 Antenna short detection auto recovery

Setting the conﬁguration item CFG-HW-ANT_CFG_RECOVER to true (1) enables the antenna short
detection auto recovery function.

The antenna short detection auto recovery is enabled by default in the RCB-F9T.

Start-up message at power up if conﬁguration is stored:-

$GNTXT,01,01,02,ANTSUPERV=AC SD PDoS SR*3E

$GNTXT,01,01,02,ANTSTATUS=INIT*3B

$GNTXT,01,01,02,ANTSTATUS=OK*25

ANTSUPERV=AC SD PDoS SR

(SR indicates short circuit recovery)

If the antenna supply is shorted (ANT_SHORT_N pulled low):-

• A

$GNTXT,01,01,02,ANTSTATUS=SHORT*73

message is issued

• ANT_OFF = high (disabled supply)
• Polling

UBX-MON-RF

: Antenna status = SHORT, Antenna power status = OFF

After a time out period (30s?) the receiver will re-connect the supply (ANT_OFF = LOW) and re-test
for a short condition.

If a short is not present the antenna condition is reported:-

•

$GNTXT,01,01,02,ANTSTATUS=OK*25

• Polling

UBX-MON-RF

in u-center: Antenna status = OK, Antenna power status = ON

Otherwise the supply is cut oﬀ and another connection sttempt made after the time-out period.

3.7.4 Antenna open circuit detection - ANT_DETECT

Setting the conﬁguration item CFG-HW-ANT_CFG_OPENDET to true (1) enables antenna open
circuit detection.

The antenna open circuit detection is enabled by default in the RCB-F9T.
