4. Operation
4.1 It is normal for the heater to produce a slight odour when it is turned on for the
first time, or after having not been used for a long period of time. This will
disappear when the heater has been on a short while.
4.2 Choose a suitable location for the heater, taking into account all safety
instructions above.
4.3 Insert the plug of the heater into a suitable outlet.
4.4 Turn the thermostat knob fully in a clockwise direction to the maximum setting.
4.5 Turn on the heating elements by flipping switches on the side of the heater.
When the heating elements are on, the switches will illuminate. One switch on,
produces a heat output is 750 W. For a maximum heat output (1500 W), both
switches should be on.
4.6 When the desired room temperature has been reached, the lights on the
element switches will turn off. After this, the heater will keep the air temperature in
the room at the set temperature by switching on and off automatically.
4.7 In its minimum (fully counter-clockwise) position, the heater will maintain the
temperature above freezing (depending on the size of the room).
