Understanding the MoCA Menu
The
MoCA
menu
of the Web user interface displays information about the MoCA status of
the UBC1301-AA00. MoCA (Multimedia over Coax Alliance) technology is a standard that
enables the distribution of high quality digital multimedia content throughout the home
over existing coaxial cabling.
MoCA is a terrific technology that offers extended LAN support over a different set of
frequencies on your home cable network. MoCA connected devices will be on the same
LAN subnet as the Ethernet ports and Wireless Primary Networks.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Always consult your Cable Service Provider before enabling MoCA
to be sure that the Point Of Entry Filter is properly installed and there is no conflict with
another MoCA service.
