Elite control panel
See the separate instructions supplied with the control panel.
Tylö's Elite control panel offers many advanced functions. In
addition to a number of personal settings, the Elite can also
be programmed to suit your personal schedule. The panel has
energy-saving functions (standby) and the option of connecting to
a wireless network. Make sure the signal is strong enough inside
the bathroom.
Main power switch
The Stella steam generator does not have a built-in main power
switch. There must be a multi-pole main switch in the power
supply line from the distribution board to the steam generator,
for use as a shut-down switch.
Automatic emptying during operation
Important! This function should always be activated, regardless of
whether or not a water softener is installed.
The steam generator automatically empties the water in the tank
during operation (not standby) after 4 hours (factory setting).
This function can be turned off/changed in settings > Automatic
emptying. This automatic function helps reduce build-up of
calcium/minerals in the water reservoir, which could otherwise
negatively affect the water level control and the product's life.
Generally, the higher the water's conductivity, the shorter the
intervals should be set for automatic emptying during operation.
A notification is displayed on the control panel when automatic
emptying of the water reservoir starts.
Descaling
Limescale is the most common cause of operational breakdown.
It is therefore important to comply with the descaling intervals in
the care and maintenance instructions under table 3. Activate
cleaning notifications
in system settings (gear icon) with
the correct interval in the control panel (download instructions
https://www.tylohelo.com/sv/control-panel-tylo-elite). Some of
the limescale released into the steam generator is flushed out
during automatic emptying when the appliance is in operation
as well as after each use of the appliance, but some will remain.
The descaling process releases limescale attached to the tank
walls and heating element. Regardless of whether or not a water
softener is installed, descaling must be carried out because the
water softener only filters away/reduces limescale to a certain
extent. The amount that is removed depends on the water's
original °dH level and on the descaler used. Other minerals that
may cause deposits to develop will still remain in the water. To
test the degree of hardness, follow the EASY TEST instructions
provided and then comply with the recommendations in table 3.
Note:
. If the steam generator is only used to a limited extent, e.g.
for a short time about once a week. In such cases, the steam
generator should still be descaled at least once a year.
Cleaning
Clean the Stella with a soft cloth and a cleaning product. To avoid
dulling the shiny surface, do not use abrasive cleaning products
or products containing acetone or ammonia. Limescale can be
dissolved with cleaning products containing descaling agents.
Drains and nozzles should be cleaned regularly to prevent
clogging. Take care when polishing chrome parts.
After use
If there is no ventilation, it is a good idea to leave the door open
to help the steamroom dry out.
Remote Start
When starting the steam bath via the app, make sure the door is
closed to prevent moist steam leaking into the bathroom.
WARNING! The water is hot when
the water reservoir is emptied!

Instructions for descaling the Stella steam generator (See figure 12):
•
Switch on the steam generator and leave it running until the
water in the tank begins to bo
il (Steps 1 and 2).
•
Switch off the steam generator via the control panel and wait
about 5 minutes (Steps 3 and 4).
•
Unscrew the nut on the front cover. Using a funnel, pour
in the correct amount (see table 3) of descaling agent
(if using Solvent powder, dissolve it in 200 ml warm water)
(Steps 5 and 6).
•
Screw the cover nut into place and leave the descaler to work
(Steps 7 and 8).
•
The tank will automatically be emptied and flushed about
60 minutes after switching off the power
.
After descaling, emptying and flushing are completed, the steam
generator is ready for use again.
If there is a large amount of limescale in the steam generator,
it will be necessary to perform descaling several times in
immediate succession.
Important!
To prevent the steam generator from starting up
while it contains descaling agent, make sure unauthorised persons
do not have access to start the appliance during the descaling
process. Also check that there are no calendar programs set that
may cause it to start.
