b. Tilt the housing, and insert the upper lip
through the opening so that the rim of the
opening sits in the channel behind the upper lip.

c. Pivot the lower lip of the housing until it butts
against the faceplate, then firmly push the
housing until the lower lip ‘snaps’ into place.

d. If necessary, to remove the housing from the
faceplate, refer to Paragraph 4.4.

4. Terminate the pc board assembly according to
the instructions included with the pc board
assembly. 

Then install the pc board assembly

according to the following.

The pc board assembly must be terminated

before installation. The faceplate is not designed

to support the pc board assembly during

termination. Terminating the pc board assembly

installed in the faceplate could result in personal

injury or damage to the pc board assembly.

a. Position the pc board assembly over the back
of the housing. Orient the pc board assembly so
that the connector ports (side of pc board

board) is facing ‘UP.’ See Figure 6, Detail A.

b. Firmly push the pc board assembly into the
housing in an 

even manner, making sure that all

four locking tabs engage the pc board assembly.
There will be an audible “click” when the pc
board assembly is fully seated.

c. If necessary, to remove the pc board
assembly from the housing, refer to Paragraph
4.3.

5. Install an adapter block according to the
following.

a. Position the adapter block over the back of
the housing. Orient the adapter block so that the
connector ports face the housing and the keyed
slots in the adapter block align with the keyed
tabs on the housing. See Figure 6, Detail B.

b. Firmly push the adapter block into the
housing in an 

even manner, making sure that all

four locking tabs engage the adapter block.
There will be an audible “click” when the adapter
block is fully seated.

c. Install connectors according to the
instructions packaged with the connectors.
