2.8 – Installing the Memory

Memory modules must be installed on the supplied Memory Expansion Card (MEC).

The Memory Expansion Card should be installed onto the MEC slot next to 32-bit PCI
slot. (See Page 7)

Remove AC power core from the system, before install or remove the memory
expansion card or memory modules to avoid damaging the board or the memory
expansion card.
Before attempting to install any memory, make sure that the memory you have is compatible with
the motherboard as well as the processor. The Thunder GC-HE will support PC1600 Registered
DDR memory and higher speeds. For information on recommended memory modules, please
check TYAN’s web site at:
www.tyan.com
