3. 'TVS intelliGO' indicator
Fuel is consumed unnecessarily when the engine is
in idling (e.g. In traffic signals) as there is no useful
output to the wheel. It contributes to emission and
decreases mileage of the vehicle considerably.
To overcome this issue ‘TVS intelliGO’ system is
introduced in TVS Jupiter ZX to automatically shut
down the engine when it is kept idling for long and
restart from stop condition by simply pressing the
Brake and giving Throttle. The vehicle also can be
restarted using ‘Electric start’ or ‘Kick start’ if required.
Use of this ‘TVS intelliGO’ system improves the
fuel economy and reduces emission.
Activation of 'TVS intelliGO' system:
‘TVS intelliGO’ system gets activated when the
following requirements are satisfied,
1. ‘TVS intelliGO’ switch is in ‘ ’ position
2. Engine is warmed up and
3. When the vehicle speed is more than 5 kmph
When the vehicle met the above conditions, the ‘TVS
intelliGO’ system gets enabled and the intelliGO
indicator ‘ ’ in the speedometer glows and informs
you that the vehicle has entered the intelliGO loop
and the engine will stop automatically at upcoming
vehicle idling condition (Idle start stop).
Once the vehicle enters the idling condition, the
intelliGO indicator starts blinking instead of glowing
and engine stops after predetermined time.
The intelliGO indicator again start to glow during
the engine stop to indicate you that the vehicle has
stopped by the ‘intelliGO’ system.
The head lamp brightness will be reduced to 50%
after 30 seconds from the engine stop by ‘intelliGO’
system to improve the battery life and to avoid
battery drain. All other DC system will work normally.
After 4 mins of vehicle stop, the head lamp will get
‘OFF’ completely. This is an indication that the restart
of vehicle from stop condition by applying Brake and
Throttle is about to be deactivated.
The vehicle stopped by ‘TVS intelliGO’ system
can be restarted at any time within 5 mins from
the stop of the vehicle by intelliGO feature in a
simple way of applying Brake and Throttle.
Deactivation of ‘intelliGO’ system:
• ‘Idle start stop’ system will be deactivated if the
intelliGO switch is positioned at ‘ ’ position.
• If the ISG malfunction indicator or MIL indicator
is ‘ON’ then the intelliGO system will not get
activated.
