Quick Start
1. Verify that the mains voltage is set to the proper value. Do all the connections with mains switch turned OFF.
2. You can mount this amplifier in any standard 19” rack system or place it horizontally on a flat surface. Don't cover any ventilation
part. The amplifier needs proper ventilation in order to avoid damages or overheating.
3. Be sure that the GAIN controls are fully turned anticlockwise by now.
4. Connect line-level audio signals from your mixer or preamplifier to balanced XLR or JACK inputs.
For XLR: Pin 1 = Shield/Ground, Pin 2 = hot, Pin 3 = cold
For JACK: Tip = hot (+), Ring = cold (-), Sleeve = shield/ground
5. Connect speaker cables to the speaker output terminals.
Be sure that all the loudspeakers are connected and there are no short circuits on the lines.
Caution
: dangerous voltages are
present, with risk of electric shock. Do all the connections with mains switch turned OFF.
6. “SWITCH ON” sequence: first of all switch on the sound source, then the amplifier. “SWITCH OFF” sequence: switch off the
amplifier, then the sound source.
7. Turn GAIN controls clockwise to increase output level for every channel; clipping LEDs should blink only during occasional
signal peaks.
Protection Circuitry
The following conditions will cause the activation of the protection circuitry:
1. Initial power-up: for approximately three seconds after switching on the amplifier the protection circuitry is activated and the
speakers outputs are muted. If everything is OK and if an input signal is present, the power LED will light.
2. Overheating: A temperature sensing device will activate the protection circuitry (and the Protection LEDs will turn on) whenever the
operating temperature of the unit rises above a safety level. The fan will turn faster when the amplifier’s temperature is high.
3. Overload: If the total harmonic distortion of the amplified signals go over 20%, the protection circuitry is activated.
4. Short circuits of loudspeakers lines: permanent short circuits can damage the amplifier permanently.
