TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK OR
INJURY TO PERSONS, OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING:
1. Use only metal duct and this unit MUST be grounded.
2. Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion and exhaust-

3. When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, be careful not to
damage electrical wiring or other hidden utilities.
4. All electrical wiring must be properly installed, insulated and
grounded.
5. Old duct work should be cleaned or replaced if necessary to
avoid the possibility of a grease fire.
6.
Check all joints on duct work to insure proper connection
and all joints should be properly taped.
7. Use this unit only in the manner intended by the manufac-
turer. If you have questions, contact the vendor.
8. For general ventilating use only. DO NOT use to exhaust haz-
ardous or explosive materials and vapors.

and safety standards such as those published by the National
Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the American Society
of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers
(ASHRAE), and the local code authorities.

WARNING
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF A RANGE TOP GREASE

tunnel and oil container.
2. Always turn range hood ON when cooking at high heat or
when cooking flaming foods.
3. Use high settings on cooking range only when necessary.
4. Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boil
overs cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite.
Heat oils slowly on low or medium settings.
5. Clean ventilating fan frequently.
6. Always use appropriate cookware and utensils size.
7. Always use cookware appropriate for the size of the surface
element.
