Important instructions:
Due to the asymmetrical construction, the seatpost may only be mounted in the intended way. To indicate
the
exact adjusting range
there is a
white laminated scale
at the back of the seatpost. Additionally a blue
sticker indicates the exact adjusting range. After assembly, the scale and the decal
must be
pointed
backwards. This is the only correct and invariably allowed position for this post to be mounted!
Please Take
care to clamp the seatpost only inside the marked adjusting range!
Also think about this when mounting
your bike in a workstand.
Brush the assembly paste on the enclosed mounting area between seatpost and frame. The assembly paste
increases friction and reduces the required tightening torque by about 1.5 Nm.
The screw of the seatpost
clamp that connects the frame with the seatpost has to be tightened with a maximum of 6 Nm.
In most
cases 4 Nm is enough for a secure grip. In this context regard that the assembly of the
Schwarzes Stück
in
combination with a seatpost-clamp, that works with a quick release, takes more time.
Due to the fact that
the clamping force cannot be adjusted exactly when using a seatpost-clamp with quick release, you
have to pay attention not to damage the seatpost by applying an excessive torque!
Increase the force
stepwise until the force is reached that is enough to fix the seatpost.
The seatpost can be mounted with a reducing sleeve. To this end the
reducing sleeve
has to be
slotted
and the
minimum length has to be 80 mm
.
