Then install appropriate connection adapters to the engines delivery and return lines. You are now able to connect the Injecto-
Clean unit's delivery and return to the corresponding connection adapters at the engine.

Add at least two cans of 938 Injector Intensive Cleaner (initial filling) through the appropriate filling connection into the Injecto-
Clean unit (internal can pressure performs filling). Attention: Open red cap for filling. On engines with eight cylinders or more or
displacement greater than 3000 ccm, add three cans for initial filling. Use one or two cans for refilling. Connect the Injecto-Clean
unit at the corresponding power-supply terminal to the vehicle's 12V battery (observe proper polarity).

Switch on the Injecto-Clean unit's power switch and use the pressure regulator to set the correct fuel pressure (1 bar for pump-
nozzle engines or up to 3.5 bar for common rail engines). Start the vehicle and allow to idle for approximately 20 minutes with the
938 Cleansing Fuel. After 20 minutes, turn off the engine and allow the 938 Cleansing Fuel to work for at least 30 minutes but no
more than 60 minutes. Then restart the engine and allow it to run for an additional 20 minutes at alternating revs (maximum 2500
rpm).
