If your machine has or if you will equip it with 1-disc coulters you must consider that the play between

the disc and the coulter at the point of the coulter must be 1-2 mm when the play of the bearings has

been removed. The adjustment is done by turning the fastening screw of the disc.
If there is play in the fastening of the front part of the coulter tube you can improve it somewhat by

tightening the screw of the fastening piece of the arm. The arm must be easily movable and it must

be able to fall by its own weight down from the upper position. If the arms are stiff the fastening

pieces of the shaft parts of the arms should be lubricated by dropping oil to the adjoining surfaces of

the arms and the bearings.

Adjustments and repairs of the roll chains

Primary roll chain is situated inside at the right end of the machine (picture 27). The roll chain must

be kept properly tightened. The tightening is carried out by moving the chain tightener in the groove.

The setting is correct when the slack chain side hangs a little during drive. A stretched roll chain

must be changed. Pay attention to correct adjustment of the chain lock (picture 28)

NOTE!  Check the tightness of the roll chain of a new machine after the first working day.

STORAGE

Out of the season the drill is to be stored cleaned and serviced in a sheltered place.  The machine

is cleaned after use both inside and outside.  The hopper is emptied by opening the adjusting lever

of the bottom valves fully and the remaining seeds will then flow out.  The remaining seeds are

steered by hand or with a brush through the feeding chambers out of the hopper.
If the remaining seed is dressed it has to be taken to a place intended for poisonous remains. The

drill is washed with water both inside and outside. Be careful when using a pressure cleaner. Do not

direct the jet stream directly on the bearings.
The machine is lubricated according to the instructions. After lubricating the roll chain it is advisable

to rotate the machine a little in order to make the oil penetrate into the chain links. Places where the
