Operation start-up
Before starting operations, proceed as follows:
• Check the marker length.
• Make sure that the settings of the POLYTRONIC control
system are adjusted correctly.
• Fill the hopper.
• Check the coulters and hoses for blockages.
When operating on larger plots, this check should also be
carried out between times.
Start the first working pass:
• Lower the machine. Set the hydraulic linkages in the
floating position. The POLYLINER front tank and
ROTERRA/CULTITERRA harrow need to be able to
move independently of the tractor.
• If applicable: engage the rear PTO.
• If applicable: engage the front PTO.
• If applicable: engage the hydraulic fan motor.
• If applicable: increase the PTO speed up to 1000 rpm
• Lower the coulters onto the ground whilst driving.
• Stop the machine after a small area has been sown. Press
the HOLD button and lift the coulters before the tractor
has come to a standstill.
• Disengage the PTO shaft and the hydraulic motor (if
applicable).
• Check the sowing depth of the different coulter rows. If
need be, adjust the coulter pressure. For more informa-
tion please refer to chapter 4.4. “Adjustment of sowing
depth”.
• Adjust the marker disc to a greater or lesser angle if the
required marking was not obtained.
• If you are going to continue operations, follow the
instructions from chapter “6.6 Stopping in the course of a
working pass”.
6.6
