When dimensioning the base take note of the clearances to
combustibles, fireplace overhangs and at least 2 3/8” air space between
fireplace and chimney (non-combustible material). Remember
to plan the soot cleaning arrangement before installation (read
“Assembly Instructions”).
Chimney connectors shall be clay flue tile (minimum 5/8” wall
thickness) or steel pipe (minimum 1/8 wall thickness) surrounded
by solid masonry. Factory build chimney pipe, type HT meeting
requirements of UL 103 or the requirements of ULC S629M.
