Uni-Forms

Application Instructions
4.
SET the Jersey Front starting at the center of the jersey and work
outwards from both sides and around the torso. Remember to
leave the shoulder stripe flaps UNSET until the next step.
5.
Gently stretch the shoulder stripe flaps that were left UNSET from
the last step around the sides of the shoulder pads and SET and
FLATTEN them in front.
6.
To finish the jersey, press your finger against the Film to adhere
it completely and iron out the wrinkles as best you can. Remember
that small wrinkles will only add to the realism of your figures.
Film 8: Helmet Top
1.
Locate and remove Film 8 from the Uni-Forms Film Sheet.
2.
Center and SET the Film to the back of the figure’s neck on center
where the helmet meets the jersey using your flattening tool.
Ensure that you’re applying the Film right-side-up by referring to
the arrow printed on the Uni-Forms Film Sheet.
3.
Gently stretch the Film up over the top of the figure’s head and
adhere it to the forehead.
4.
Adhere the rest of the helmet to the figure’s head using your
fingers and your flattening tool. If you are having trouble keeping
the Film stuck down to the figure, use a handheld blow drier to
heat up the helmet area. You can also attempt to roll out any
wrinkles that form by pressing and rolling the helmet around on
a hard surface. When doing so, try to avoid sliding the top of the
figure’s head over the hard surface. This will prevent the
scratching of the Film surface.
Film 9: Helmet Sides
1.
Locate and remove the Film labeled 9 from the Uni-Forms Film
Sheet. This Film will make up the front and sides of the helmet.
2.
Center and POSITION the Film on the figure’s forehead as shown
in Image 14. This Film has a white rectangle in the center that
should be aligned with the middle of the figure’s face. The bottom
edge of the Film should align to the bottom helmet edge just above
the figure’s face.
3.
SET the bottom edge of Film 8 starting at the center of the
forehead and FLATTEN as you work outward from both sides
around the head and down to the neck. Be sure to line up the
helmet stripe on Film 9 with the stripe on Film 8 (if the uniform
design contains a helmet stripe).
4.
SET and FLATTEN the rest of the helmet to the figure’s head
using your fingers or your flattening tool. Getting the flat Uni-
Forms Film to adhere to the round head of the figure can be a little
tricky, but keep at it! Use your fingers to smooth out the Film
around the top of the head, and use your flattening tool to SET it.
If you are having trouble keeping the Film stuck to the figure, use
a handheld blow dryer to heat up the area. The heat will help the
Film conform to the figure by activating the adhesive.
Finishing Up
1.
Apply jersey numbers to your completed players.
For best
results, POSITION the number Films and use your flattening tool
to SET and FLATTEN them onto the figure. If desired, trim the
numbers with a sharp scissors or hobby knife for a better fit.
a.
Back jersey numbers are largest, found on Sheets A & B;
b.
Front jersey numbers are smaller, found on Sheets B & C;
c.
TV Numbers for the shoulder pads and/or helmets are
smallest and can be found on Sheet E, if a team uses them.
2.
Optional: Use a household blow dryer or heat gun to heat up the
completed player’s Uni-Forms. After warming the Films up, press
down on any areas that need help to activate the adhesive.
3.
Optional: Consider sealing your figure with Tudor Games Brush-
on Sealers. Using a paintbrush, paint a thick layer of sealer over
the entire figure and let dry. Apply another layer of sealer if
necessary. The sealer dries clear and forms a protective shield
around your figure. Our Gloss Finish sealer (great for shiny
helmets) and our Matte Finish sealer (perfect for jerseys and
pants) are available on our website.
4.
Uni-Forms can be removed to save a figure, but removing them
will likely damage the Film Patterns and prevent them from being
used again.
5.
If you don’t see the Uni-Forms for a certain team or era, please let
us know. We’ll add it to our product line as soon as possible!
