3.4.7 Side adjustment for open sweeping usage
The safety instructions from Chapter 3.3 apply.
When used as an open Gigant sweeping machine, a side
adjustment in relation to the side of the road must be
carried out. (sweeping angle / swept material to the left or
right).
Mechanical side adjustment
The sideways setting is handled by means of the
adjustment bar (1) on the pivot point of the sweeping
machine.
• Raise the machine slightly.
• Switch off the engine and take out the ignition key.
• Secure the carrier vehicle against unintended start-up.
• Remove the spring plug (2) and then pull out the locking
bolt (3); the desired sweeping angle is attained by
rotating the machine around the pivot point.
• Once the sweeping angle has been set, push the locking
bolt (3) into the intended drill hole and secure it with the
spring plug (2).
Overload protection
The safety instructions from Chapter 3.3 apply.
To protect against overload upon
encountering an obstruction when starting to
drive, the adjustment bar (1) is secured by
means of the locking bolt (3).
If the locking bolt has to be replaced, only
use original spare parts offered by Tuchel
Maschinenbau GmbH.
Hydraulic side adjustment
The sideways setting is handled by means of both of the
hydraulic cylinders between the swivel console and the
sweeping machine frame.
• Raise the machine slightly.
• Actuate the control lever for the second double-acting
control circuit. The sweeping machine tilts to the right or
left.
