5. Slide the Polemaster drum onto the Polemaster drive shaft making sure the rope exits from the

top of the drum toward the rear of the DPT40-B. You may have to rotate the Drum slightly to line
up the Drive Slots in the Drum with the Shaft Drive Pins.

6. Insert the Drum Lock Pin as shown in Figure 13. Make sure the spring clip is installed correctly in

order to keep the pin from falling out.

7. Remove some rope from the Polemaster Drum and feed it around the guide sheaves of the

Polemaster Levelwind as shown in Figure 14.

8. The installation of the drum and rope should be as shown in Figure 15. The Polemaster System

is now ready to pull the pulling rope back to the conductor reel in the Tensioner.
