Troubleshooting
10.2.4.
Problem
Source of error
Remedy
Low or no air flow.
Pump not connected to power supply.
Check connection and voltage.
Electrical defect.
Check electrical continuity with test instrument.
Filter blocked.
Change filter (see Fig. 3, Fig. 4, Fig. 5).
Diaphragm protective switch activated
through damaged diaphragm or external
impact (AP-60/ AP-80 only)

Disconnect power.
•
Remove filter (orange color) via central screw.
•
Protective switch activated as shown below. (Fig. 7) Turn to
deactivated position by using a screwdriver (Fig. 8). Either turn left
or right. A clicking can be heared/felt when the deactivated position
is reached.
•
If the diaphragm is damaged (repeated triggering of diaphragm
protective switch), pump must be serviced by trained service
personnel!
Thermal protection activated due to high
temperature
•
AP-60, AP-80
After cooling, pump will switch back on automatically.
•
AP-30, AP-40
Check pump by trained service personnel.
Diaphragm damaged
Service pump by trained service personnel.
Other defect
Check pump by trained service personnel.
Loud noise
Valves or diaphragm faulty
Check pump by trained service personnel.
Armature hits coil/core due to defective
diaphragm.
Check pump by trained service personnel.
