Safety warnings for the use
of drill bit sharpeners
• Never try to use sharpening stones whose
diameter is larger than the corresponding size of the tool.
• Use only sharpening stones or accessories with a hole
corresponding to the tool shaft.
• Never use damaged or malfunctioning
sharpening stones.
Use the appropriate sharpening stone
• Check that the cover is in good
condition and tightly screwed on. Do not use the tool
without the cover.
• Make sure the switch is turned off before
turning on the tool, otherwise the tool will start to operate
unexpectedly, which may cause serious injury.
• Check that the sharpening stone rotates
freely.
• Do not over-tighten the sharpening stone, otherwise it
may break.
Before operating the sharpener
• Do not turn on the tool while the sharpening
stone is in contact with a drill bit.
• If a small part becomes trapped inside the
housing immediately turn the tool off, unplug it from the
power outlet and wait for all moving parts to come to a
complete stop before attempting to remove the trapped part.
While operating the sharpener
• This sharpener works only for 118° drill
bits (It is advisable to check the marking on your drill bit
or the manufacturer's specifications to confirm the angle it
has). Attempting to sharpen bits with any other angle will
result in damage to the bit and sharpening stone.
Indicated Drill Bits
• The stone is for sharpening HSS and
carbon steel drills. Attempting to sharpen bits made of
any other material or with special tips will result in
damage to the bit and the tool.
