Maintenance

Inspecting and replacing the wearing plate

(see Fig. 39415, p. 12)

1. Remove carrier (9).

2. Check the wearing plate (18) for running-in marks. If the run-

ning surface has been run in by approximately 0.2 mm (note
outer ring = "wearing mark"), lift out wearing plate by pressing
with 2 screwdrivers, turn over or replace.

If the cutting tool is blunt then it must either be reground or replaced.
