Tensioning the saw chain

Note

Before start-up, check the chain tension and adjust it,
if necessary. When you work with the pruning saw, the
chain will heat up and slightly expand in this process.
This can occur in particular with new chains.

1. Slightly loosen the securing nut (

). The chain cover (

remains mounted.

2. The saw chain (

) will tighten automatically.

3. Then tighten the securing nut (

) again.

4. Check the chain tension at regular intervals. If the chain

tension is correct, the saw chain (

) can be drawn upwards

3−5 mm.
