8.5 Power connections
For instruments connected to an AC power supply, it is the responsibility of the installer to ensure
that the instrument is installed with the following protection:
An external fuse or circuit breaker at a maximum of 5A.
Externally earthed.

For instruments connected to a DC power supply, it is the responsibility of the installer to
ensure that the instrument is installed with a DC supply, meeting re-enforced insulation
requirements of EN61010-1 or equivalent.
For instruments connected to an AC power supply, ensure that the equipment is protected by
an external fuse or circuit breaker at a maximum of 5A.
