Programming the Alarm
Note:
If “Err” should be displayed on the Gas
Pressure Display of any gas module, this indicates
a problem. Some possible problems and corrective
actions are:
The transducer is not connected to the Gas
Module. To correct, check the transducer
connection to the back side of the Gas Module.
A transducer for a different gas service has been
connected to the Gas Module. To correct, check
the transducer and the Gas Module gas
identification labels and make sure they match.
If the above corrective actions do not correct the
problem, contact the factory for assistance.
Programming the Remote Signal (Master)
Alarm Points
While in the program mode, press the Module
button until the desired Remote Signal (Master)
Module is illuminated. It’s LED will display the
current programming for the contact state that
defines a normal condition. With the desired
Remote Signal (Master) Module flashing, press the
UP or DOWN key to view the next Remote Signal
Alarm Point. All contacts are programmed as
closed
contact equals a normal condition from the
factory. The contact point that is flashing is
capable of being programmed. The Status Code
Display will display the current state for the
contact point that is flashing. The Status Code
Display will read either:
“O” for open or
“C” for closed or
“d” for disabled
Note:
Any contact point that has been disabled
will have both the green (normal) and red (alarm)
LED illuminated only when in the programming
mode, to make it easy to identify them. In the
normal mode of operation, both LED’s of a
disabled parameter will be blanked (off).
With the desired contact point flashing, press the
TOGGLE key (history button) to change the state
of the selected contact point. The sequence of the
TOGGLE key is as follows:
Closed = normal
Open = normal
Disabled
Each individual contact point may be
programmed to any of the three (open, closed
or disabled) states.
Using the UP or DOWN keys you can go on to the
next contact point. When programming of all of
the contact points is complete press the Program
button twice to save the changes and return the
alarm to the normal mode.
Programming the Gas Alarm Repeater
Delay
While in the program mode, press the Alarm
button. A number (0 – 7) will be displayed on the
Status Code Display. The first gas display will
display “A-r” which is an abbreviation for Alarm
Repeat. All other modules will no longer be
illuminated. If a “0” is displayed on the Status
Code Display, this means that the Alarm Repeat
feature has been disabled. (This setting is ideal
during the construction phase of a project). (Note
– disabling or enabling the Repeater will not
change the delay setting). To enable this feature
press the TOGGLE key (History button) until a
number 1 – 7 is displayed on the Status Code
Display. When the Alarm Repeat feature has been
enabled, the UP or DOWN keys may be used to
change the setting. The chart below represents the
approximate length of silence time before the
silenced alarm will repeat:
“1” = 5 minutes
“2” = 10 minutes
“3” = 15 minutes
“4” = 30 minutes
“5” = 1 hour
“6” = 2 hours
“7” = 4 hours
The alarm will be pre-programmed from the
factory at ten minutes. This is the recommended
setting. To save the change and return the alarm to
the normal mode, press the Program button twice.
