Area
Display the general information of the connected
camera, including the camera number, IP address,
connect port, and on/off line status.

Connecting
Control Area
This area provides four buttons to control the connect
status of camera. The four buttons include:
Assign
,
Connect/Disconnect
,
Erase
, and
Camera Setting
.

Assign:
Click to enter the IP Address (default
setting:
192.168.0.30
) of the camera in the pop-up
dialog box. Then, click
Add
to add a new camera.
If you are not sure of the camera’s IP Address,
you can click
Browse
to find the available camera;
then, select the one you want (if more than one
camera found) by highlighting it and click
Add
.
In addition, you can select the protocol type from
the pull-down menu:
UTP
,
TCP
, and
HTTP
.

Connect/Disconnect:
The connected camera can
be disabled temporarily by clicking
Disconnect
button. To resume the camera, click
Connect
.

Erase:
Click to remove the connected camera
from the list.

Camera Setting:
Click to launch the Web
Configuration Utility to change the settings.

Recording
Control Area
This area provides recording function for the camera.
You can select the recording mode from the pull-
down menu:
Manual Record
,
Schedule Record
, and
Motion Record
.
By default, the recorded video will be saved in a sub-
folder that is created automatically by the software
and named as [camera number]_[camera IP address]
under the
IPView SP
folder. You can change the
settings in System Configuration.
